You may notice that we seem to have quite a few retired
breeding cats considering that we've been breeding few litters a year. We prefer to spay and neuter our cats young
so that they can become beloved pets and sleep on their owners' pillows
at night. Furthermore, excessive breeding of females is bad for their health
and the need to keep the whole males seperate (to avoid accidental breedings)
means that they don't get as much attention as we would like - which is
of course 24 hours a day of love! Another reason is because we prefer to
only breed our cats few times, to make sure no one cat has too strong an influence
on the gene pool.
If you're considering a purebred
cat, you might find that perfect companion in a retiree. As breeders, we
are always thrilled when that perfect home comes along for one of our retired
babies! Most of the retirees here have already found their forever homes, but
please visit our "Cats Available" page to see if we
may have that perfect older cat for you.
Cats are pictured in chronological order, from the earliest in our program to the most recent.
Red crossed the Rainbow bridge on May 30th 2003 due to a reaction to
anesthesia. He has left a great hole in many hearts and will be dearly missed.
He was one of the friendliest and sweetest cats we've had the pleasure to know,
although he always knew he was handsome and maintained an air
of nobility. He was a joy to show and wonderful ambassador for the breed, both as
a show cat and as loving companion.
Lacey is living with some friends outside of Madrid.
Rose is living with friends in Austin.
Chotis is still here with us. We'd like to find a nice home for him, preferably as an only
cat.
Pesters crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2007. She was diagnosed with vaccine site
sarcoma about 18 months previously. She did wonderfully for all those months, but she was starting
to feel some discomfort so we helped her on her travels. She was a wonderful bed cat and
the house is now very quiet, as she lived up to her nickname of "Pesters" by always clamoring
for attention. She is dearly missed.

Berry is living in a lovley home in Louisiana.
Curly is terribly shy so unless a perfect home comes along, she'll be staying here
with us.
Smidge is here living with us.
Heart is now living in Finland.
Indi is living with a wonderful couple in Central Texas.
Truffs has been returned to the daughter of his breeder.
Dime is living in NY, charming everyone.
